Mississippi’s Volunteer Centers are community “volunteer hubs” that promote volunteers and volunteer activity, mobilize, prepare and connect volunteers for service, and build volunteer capacity within the nonprofit and for-profit community. Volunteer Centers are an access point where all local residents can get information on meaningful volunteer work that contributes to the solutions of serious community issues.

Community members can connect to an ongoing menu of volunteer opportunities that are either managed by Volunteer Center staff and volunteers, or are offered by a broad diversity of community-based nonprofit agencies and/or schools.  Volunteer Centers convene and connect nonprofit and for-profit networks and provide up-to-date volunteer opportunities and best practices in volunteer management and employee volunteer programs.
